College Aid Calculator® is a powerful software application that will quickly guide you
through the sometimes complicated process of calculating your EFC. The EFC, or
Expected Family Contribution, is the amount based on your income and assets that
financial aid formulas determine to be your minimum share of college costs.
There are nine main data entry screens. A help message appears towards the right
of each screen. It will have information about how the aid formulas work
and exactly what information is being asked for at every step. It takes most people
about 15 minutes to complete the data entry and calculate the EFC.
When you download the software, it will be installed on your local PC, and all
your data remains on your PC. You'll have the option of emailing your data (it's
automatically encrypted) to your college planner. He or she will be able to
help you evaluate your EFC and, if appropriate, make suggestions that may help
you maximize the amount of financial aid you may receive.
Don't forget - Your college planner may be able to help. Email your record when finished.
This software is a planning tool, not an aid form. The results are not guaranteed.

Installation Instructions
Click [Save] when the "File Download" pop-up appears.
Click [Save] again when the "Save As" pop-up appears.
Be sure that the following box is NOT checked.
[] Close this dialog box when download completes.
When the download completes, click [Run].
Click [Run] again, if a "Security Warning" pop-up appears.
Follow the on-screen install instructions.
Click [Start] / Programs / College Aid Calculator to launch CAC.
This is Windows Software.
College Aid Calculator® will only work on a Mac that can run Windows.
